Are people "understanding" the AmREIT story better?

With the work done on creating a graphical representation of our business model, we are having better success at explaining how our company is different than other publicly traded REITs. We have also made a more diligent effort to explain bits and pieces of our structure in the past two annual reports. We have received great feedback from employees, clients and shareholders that we are doing a much better job at explaining our growth and strategies. In addition, with the redesign of our website, we are now displaying a more accurate and professional representation to the world of who AmREIT is.

 

Do people "get" irreplaceable corners and active management as concepts?

People definitely get irreplaceable corners. They understand how important location is and agree with our strategy. As far as active management, it is getting easier to explain now that we have the flow chart.

 

Are you getting more/better coverage then you were 2 years ago?

Street

We now have two analysts covering us and are starting to get institutional calls.

 

Media

We are most definitely getting better coverage than we did two years ago. Instead of calling to see if we can get mentioned in articles, we are getting calls and are even being mentioned in articles with our competitors without having to do the prospecting.
