Savage to Present "He Stuck Cheese Up His Nose? – The Brand Impact of Web 2.0 and Social Media" at PRSA Houston’s PR Day
October 6, 2009, Houston – Robin Tooms, Brand Director_Interactive Strategist, and Stephen Banks, Multimedia Manager_Web Marketing Consultant, both of Savage, will speak at the Houston Chapter’s Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) PR Day 2009 on Wednesday, October 7 at the Westin Galleria in Houston. Tooms and Banks’ presentation, entitled “He Stuck Cheese Up His Nose? – The Brand Impact of Web 2.0 and Social Media,” will review both best practices where companies successfully embraced social media as part of their communications plans and lessons learned from those who failed, impacting their brands negatively.
The presentation will help PR professionals formulate a targeted social media campaign that results in a significant and measurable brand impact. “Attendees will learn how they can shape their brand online with social media tools – looking at both what their company and their employees are doing – and leverage them for better communications and search results,” said Robin Tooms.
