If you were to peer inside Paula Savage Hansen’s brain, you’d find a cozy place with a perfect balance of form and function, lined with the finest design sensibility in the world. An iPad would replace her brain stem, running an app with all of her creative thoughts, contacts, appointments, and personal relationships arranged in order. It would all be backed up by an Uninterruptible Power Supply, keeping her emotions in check, free of severe spikes in temperament, and maintaining a constant sense of fairness, diplomacy and reason.
Paula founded Savage in 1973 and serves as the company’s chairman. She has grown Savage into one of the most prestigious branding firms in the country and was one of the early pioneers in interactive media and website design. Many have benefitted from her visionary work – from Fortune 100 clients to non-profit organizations. She and Savage’s employees built the company based on their desire to “do good, have fun and make money.” Paula is a long-time member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, past president of AIGA Texas, and was honored by her peers as a national AIGA Fellow. She currently serves on the board of directors for the University of St. Thomas where she chairs the Marketing and University Relations committee.
