Savage Brands Wins “Best of Show” at 2015 IABC Houston Bronze Quill Awards
HOUSTON (June 12, 2015) – Savage Brands received the prestigious “Best of Show” along with three other significant honors for outstanding client work at the 2015 International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Bronze Quill Awards.
“What an honor to receive awards for what we love to do and then have the work cited as the best in Houston communications,” said Robin Tooms, Principal and Vice President of Strategy at Savage Brands. “We are proud that Entergy engaged us to create the company’s first integrated report that united its annual financial, environmental and social stories to reach all its stakeholders with a singular message.”
A primary benefit of integrated reporting is to create a single source to communicate a company’s goals and initiatives, as well as its financial performance.
“Some reports feature a sustainability report with a separate annual report under one cover, but the Entergy online integrated report interwove the content and sent a cohesive message to all their audiences,” said Tooms. “The report received national recognition when an Entergy executive was quoted in Forbes magazine about it being a strategy to demonstrate the link between doing good and doing well.”
In its report, Entergy cites three advantages to integrated reporting: to enhance transparency by providing one source of information to all stakeholders; to reflect how the company measures and manages it performance with a combination of financial, environmental, community and employee measures; and its belief that all stakeholders are inextricably linked.
